Staff at Google’s Dublin Office have raised over €3,000 for Plan Ireland’s Appeal for Haiti.
Google’s policy of matching staff fundraising means a total of €7,000 will be put towards helping children and their families affected by the January 12 earthquake.
The Googlers engaged in various activities to raise the cash including a table quiz, a fusball tournament, a 6km fun run and a Holywood Legends day which involved participants dressing as their favourite movie star for a day.
Perhaps the favourite of all the events though was a Pop Stars talent competition sponsored by Dav Nagle of PopStarStudios who offered a day in their recording studios worth €1,000 to the winner.
Congratulations and thanks to the organisers of the various events and all who took part. Your efforts mean that life will be made easier for at least some of the children of Haiti.
