Staff at Google’s Dublin Office have raised over €3,000 for Plan Ireland’s Appeal for Haiti.

Google’s policy of matching staff fundraising means a total of €7,000 will be put towards helping children and their families affected by the January 12 earthquake. The Googlers engaged in various activities to raise the cash including a table quiz, a fusball tournament, a 6km fun run and a Holywood Legends day which involved participants dressing as their favourite movie star for a day.

Perhaps the favourite of all the events though was a Pop Stars talent competition  sponsored by Dav Nagle of PopStarStudios who offered to record a single for the winner Adam Englehart. Congratulations and thanks to the organisers of the various events and all who took part. Your efforts mean that life will be made easier for at least some of the children of Haiti

Well this Friday the 16th December one very lucky person is going to win a cash prize and a day at PopStar Studios in the George club. Alexandera Burke is performing her debut single 'Bad Boys' on the night.

I like to think I have been working hard but when you love your job is it really work? The famous producer Jimmy Levine said music production is a vocation and I am starting to agree.

PopStar Studios are on our third sponsorship since May in the George club in Dublin. I have been nominated once again to play the role as a judge and according to some people who go there I am the next Simon Cowell (lol).
